Visiting cities by sea is really a very old concept.  Today we would call it cruising but for centuries travel by sea was the preferred transportation.  You can get a sense of travel by sea by joining us on a cruise next year to the Mexican Riviera.

  On February 12^th we will be taking a 7 day cruise sailing out of Los Angeles, California to three Mexico cities: Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.

   Puerto Vallarta has everything for the visiting traveler.  With a great climate, beautiful ocean bay, mountains and lush tropical jungle as the setting, Puerto Vallarta still retains much of its old style Mexican charm.  As a gay vacation spot Puerto Vallarta offers relaxing beaches, countless romantic hideaways along with a wide variety of shops to spend your time and money.

    Old Mazatlan is the kind of place that doesn’t change.  Dubbed as the “Pearl of the Pacific” it lacks high-rise hotels and major chain businesses.  Unlike most cities Mazatlan does not depend on tourism due to being one of the largest ports on the Pacific and a major shrimp producer.  With its natural beauty, architecture and cultural activities it has the makings of a great gay resort.

   Cabo San Lucas ranks high as a gay destination but does not have the reputation as Puerto Vallarta.  Located at the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula, Los Cabos is known for its white beaches, world-class Scuba diving and the distinctive sea arch El Arco de Cabo San Lucas.

  To get to these locations by sea you will be traveling on the Sapphire Princess.  Referred as a jewel on the high seas it is filled with innovative features and luxurious amenities. You can swim in one of four sparkling pools, shop the boutiques or get a massage in the Lotus Spa. Dining can be casual with pizza and burgers or more elegant in one of the many formal dining rooms and specialty restaurants.  Sapphire Princess was selected as the ship of the month by Cruise Travel magazine in December 2009.
